SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, shipping/receiving, picking and staging parts for order fulfillment, monitoring inventory and the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. The warehouse Supervisor is accountable for the movement of all materials within the warehouse, shipping/receiving area, and overall appearance while ensuring to meet all safety protocols.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise warehouse personnel: Lead and motivate fostering a culture of high performance.
- Ensure proper training and any new warehouse personnel.
- Ensure all items, domestic and international, are shipped on time.
- Ensure all paperwork for international shipments is filled out correctly.
- Work on shipping cost savings both domestically and internationally.
- Transact inventory using inventory control software.
- Work towards meeting and exceeding company defined KPI’s regarding Productivity, Quality and Safety.
- Safely and efficiently operate forklift and additional warehouse equipment to load/unload/transfer material and product without causing damage within the warehouse and to/from delivery trucks.
- Maintain Inventory and perform cycle counts.
- Maintain warehouse and forklift by following good housekeeping and safety procedures.
- Work with suppliers to process outgoing and incoming RMAs.
- Ensure shipping/receiving and warehouse SOPs are current and adhered to.
- Create new SOPs if necessary.
- Performs all other duties as required to meet the company’s goals and objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Education or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Six sigma and/or Lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management systems.
- Proficient in presenting information to management and employees.
- Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems for inventory control.
- Performs all other duties as required to meet the company’s goals and objectives.
